Aimed at healthy oestrogen balance, DIM 100mg is a single nutrient formula featuring Diindolylmethane, a plant compound found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage. Studies have shown that DIM helps to support healthy oestrogen clearance. Issues associated with oestrogen clearance can cause oestrogen dominance, which is extremely common in women of child-bearing age. Oestrogen dominance may be helped by supporting the liver to clear oestrogen more effectively.

DIM alone is poorly absorbed by the gut, and so vitamin E and phosphatidylcholine are provided for enhanced absorption and bioavailability. Also suitable for men with oestrogen dominance. DIM may support problem skin or those suffering with hormonal skin breakouts.

DIM capsules are a good choice for men and women who are looking for a natural way to manage their oestrogen levels. DIM supplementation may be useful for women in particular who are looking to support hormone balance, and may be used from age 18 up to and including the menopause years. Useful for women of child-bearing age who are looking for fertility support, and women over the age of 40 experiencing fluctuating oestrogen levels in the perimenopause. It is also helpful for men who are worried about oestrogen dominance.

Oestrogen dominance is a key issue that affects a large number of people. And it's not just something that women should be concerned about; men are affected too. Both men and women produce oestrogen; and we are all exposed to oestrogen through external sources too, such as through food, water, medication, plastic, petroleum, cleaning products, pesticides and much more.

High levels of oestrogen can be harmful, so your body is equipped with processes to eliminate excess amounts. However these processes may struggle to deal with the high levels that most people are now exposed to on a daily basis, and this can lead to a long list of unwanted health problems.

Oestrogen dominance may contribute to fertility issues in women of child-bearing age, and symptoms associated with perimenopause in older women, including mood swings, headaches, hot flashes and poor sleep.

DIM is a metabolite of indole-3-carbinol (I3C), the phytonutrient (plant compound) found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and cabbage. I3C gets converted into its active form DIM in the body, so taking DIM directly bypasses the need for this conversion, providing what may be a more effective way of supplementation. DIM is also thought to be more stable than indole-3-carbinol.
